Planning a holiday should be exciting, not overwhelming. I’ve put together some of the most common questions my clients ask about how I work, what to expect, and how I make every journey seamless from start to finish. If there’s anything you’d like to know that isn’t covered here, just ask — I’m always happy to help.

What makes Marie Rowe Travel different?

You get me - not a call centre. I personally design every trip, taking the time to understand what matters most to you. Each itinerary is tailored with care, combining luxury, authenticity, and responsibility with expert advice, 24/7 support, and total peace of mind.

Are your holidays financially protected?

Yes. Every booking is 100% financially protected through Travel Counsellors’ independent trust and ATOL where applicable. Your money and your holiday are completely secure from start to finish and you'll be protected in the event of any supplier failures.

Do you charge a fee for your service?

No. My service is complimentary when you book your holiday through me. I’m paid by my trusted travel partners once a booking is confirmed, which allows me to offer a highly personal, expert-led planning service without charging you directly.

Do you offer sustainable or eco-friendly options?

Always. Sustainability is at the heart of what I do. I partner with trusted suppliers who share my values and donate a portion of every booking to TreeSisters, helping to restore forests and support global reforestation projects.

Can you work within my budget?

Yes — every journey is completely bespoke. I’ll design an itinerary that reflects your preferences, comfort level, and priorities while delivering genuine value and quality throughout.

How far in advance should I book?

Ideally 6–12 months before travel, especially for honeymoons or school holidays. That said, I can often find excellent last-minute options thanks to my global network of trusted partners.

Do you have an Animal Welfare policy?

Yes. Animal welfare is a non-negotiable for me. I do not support captive wildlife attractions or experiences that exploit animals for entertainment. Where wildlife encounters are included, they focus on conservation, education, and observing animals responsibly in their natural habitats.

Do you use AI? 

Yes, thoughtfully. I use AI to support the early planning stage, helping gather preferences and spark inspiration. It never replaces my expertise, judgement, or personal care. Every itinerary is designed by me, with the human touch always leading

Do you sell Cruise?

Yes, selectively. I work with a carefully chosen range of cruise partners, including expedition cruise lines, river cruise, small-ship, tall-ship, and some small luxury cruise lines.

I do not sell mega cruise ships.

Can you help if something goes wrong while I'm away? 

Absolutely. You’re supported by me personally, alongside Travel Counsellors’ 24/7 global duty office. If plans change or issues arise, you have real people resolving things quickly and calmly on your behalf.

What kind of clients do you work best with?

I work best with clients who value personal service, expert advice, and peace of mind. If you’re looking for thoughtful planning and a trusted relationship, we’ll be a great fit.

Do you practise what you preach when it comes to travel?

Yes. I’m well travelled and very intentional about how I explore the world. I make responsible choices, seek meaningful cultural experiences, and plan my own trips with the same care and values I bring to my clients’ journeys.

When will my balance be due?

In most cases, the final balance is due around 12 weeks before travel, although this can vary depending on the supplier. I’ll always confirm the exact dates clearly. You can also make flexible payments at any time using the secure MyTC app, spreading the cost in a way that suits you.

Can I make payments in instalments?

Yes. The MyTC app allows you to make secure payments at any time, in amounts that work for you, as long as the balance is paid by the final due date. It’s a simple, flexible way to manage your travel payments.

Do you send paper documents?

I run a paper-free business wherever possible. All your travel documents, itineraries, and vouchers are available digitally via the MyTC app, making everything easy to access while you’re travelling.


Printed documents can be provided in specific circumstances.
